This one is very hard to part with! It’s by Arnt Arntzen, a local designer who’s become quite well known since I bought it about 15 years ago at Dr Vigari Gallery. It’s 78″ tall, 50″ wide and really, really heavy; I take it apart every time I move (the only tool required is a ratchet, which I can include with the shelf). The sides are large chunks of birch from a tree that fell over in Langara Golf course, and the shelves are reclaimed industrial steel. I asked Bill Gott, the owner of Dr. Vigari, what he thought it might be worth today and he suggested $2500.
