Britannia parking lot. This mural is in the alley behind it, on the back of Heather’s Luggage repair. Right now this fellow is a hardworking penniless corporate grunt, but he dreams of being a fatcat bursting with money; either way he’s got a suitcase, and Heather can fix it. Around the corner the mural shows East Van kids lounging in the park; they don’t have to slog downtown but they still have luggage, and when it’s busted they’ll bring it to Heather’s too.

I didn’t sleep very well, again. It wasn’t noisy, but just like my spot at 6th & Scotia (where I also slept badly) it felt conspicuous, whereas on a street with houses and trees and cars I feel almost invisible. Lesson learned.
